Go Vote:
Give a Crap

This self‐directed project asked what could be done to combat political apathy among young people. It seems that there is certainly an interest in politics among young people. The hindrance, however, is alienation. Even to the educated, politics is dense, dry and often boring. The point of democracy is to allow everyone to be involved in politics, and without real strides to include young people democracy is being seriously undermined.

Go Vote is a campaign specifically tasked with engaging young people. The primary product is a video raising the issue of voting. This video covers politics in very broad strokes, and aims to inspire young voters with the confidence that their vote can actually matter.

Further videos could be produced to inform in more specific terms. Supporting deliverables include Vocalise and a Guerrilla Ballot Paper, which go beyond simply voting and offer young people the opportunity to voice an opinion beyond simply selecting a representative on election day.
